Beginning Again, and again

I could start dismal with my first post, but I've deceded to keep this positive and upbeat!

Although, I've had many setbacks, I can and will lose weight and be fit. I can't stand how my body feels. I hurt and ache, can't sleep, and my clothes are too tight.

But, this week, I've seen how little I should be eating, and how much I actually consume. My poor body is in dire shape.

About 5 weeks ago, I had a leg injury which prevented me from running. Of course, I crave running when I can't, and it's unappealing when my leg is perfectly fine. I still have problems, so I've been walking. Not as much as I should.

On Monday, I was able to get up at 5! And I worked out to the best of my ability with some strength training moves. Since I didn't go to bed till almost 1 am. Today, Wednesday, I'm still feeling the effects. Also, since my sleeping is so bad, I hit snooze this morning. The first time all week. Made me sad. I can do this! I know I can!

How do you get up no matter what?

    You definitely have the right attitude about keeping it positive. Remember it is all about one step at a time. Working out every other day is a great way to start. Think of everything you have learned from the past. You can use it to be successful! emoticon

    I can't do this in the summer, but I just saw a suggestion to go to bed in your workout clothes with the idea that getting dressed is half the battle. Even just going to bed with half of your workout clothes might work.

    But for me, what's been keeping me motivated is a bunch of "thinspirational" photos I have saved to my tablet and phone. Whenever I feel "blah" I look at one of those photos (for example, a really great outfit that I want but can't fit into) and it helps me get going.

    Hope your leg feels better fast!

    Perhaps drinking a glass of water at bedtime will help. It might make you NEED to get up! (seriously!)

    When I want to get to the gym at 5am before I go to work, I have to "trick" myself into doing so...I have to turn the alarm on my cell phone on and leave the phone in the living room...I'll be forced to get up to cut it off and once I am up and moving, then I am pretty good about getting ready and out the door...sure it's childish, but it works...LOL
