Thank You for Two Great Years

Today is my 2 year Sparkversary. I’ve thought a lot about what I was going to write. I’ve read many blog from those of you who have lost using the Spark People website. I am in awe of each and every one of you. Every time I get frustrated or discouraged I just have to read a blog. Thank you to all of you. Your blogs have given me a boost when I need it most.
Every time I think about what I was going to write I would think about all of the blogs I’ve read and there is a little bit or a lot of what I was going to say in your blogs. I really think that those of us who have figured out that we can do it all have similar thoughts and ideas. I know we all get discouraged at times but there is always someone out there to cheer us on and get us back on track. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my Sparkversary than to say THANK YOU to all you Sparkers out there.
Because of all of you and Spark People I’ve lost about 65 of the 90 pounds I needed to lose. Even if I don’t lose the other 35 pounds I’m still way better off than I was 2 years ago. I actually gained a little back, but I didn’t let myself get discouraged and give up. I kept at it and have lost most of the weight that I gained back. I’m not really beating myself up over any of it. I have adopted a new way of life. I eat better, I exercise more and I don’t miss any of the old ways. I give the credit to support I have on SparkPeople. The food and exercise trackers help keep me accountable. I can’t imagine ever being without them, but especially I give credit to all of you and of course my dear husband who has supported me through all of the ups and downs in my entire married life.
I’m so much better off than I was two years ago. I’ve lost the weight. I no longer have to take blood pressure medication. I can climb three flights of stairs without running out of breath or my knees giving out. My husband and I walk about 3 miles every evening and he eats what I need to eat without complaint. I can keep up with my grandsons right now; I may have trouble as they get older and faster but it won’t be because I’m obese and out of shape. I feel better about all aspects of my life.
