I have to say this challenge has been similar to others I've signed up for where I'm loyal to reading everything and completing all the challenges in the beginning and then it sloooowly starts to fade. There's been Relay For Life, cake and cupcake orders, chaos at work and so on...and I hate sounding like I'm making excuses, but this is actually the one area I need to work on and make bigger steps in. I need to be able to manage my time to make myself a priority and all my other committments can still happen, but just after me and without stressing me out. I need to work on this during these last few weeks and for many weeks to come.
I think I've made progress in a couple different areas...I am incorporating more vegetables and fruits, I've increased my water and during the last few weeks I've tried a new workout....zumba! And, surprisingly, I LOVE IT! I was scared to go, nervous people would be looking at me and I wouldn't be able to keep up, but that is not the case and I think I could become addicted! LOL So I tried something new, overcame my fear and have committed to a new workout. I also am proud of the fact that I am "sparking" more. It's lapsed a little, but I made a decision to use Spark more. Sometimes I do get frustrated where I think things take more time than they should but it's all worth it when you connect with wonderful new friends and get encouraging words and boots of positivity. I guess I didn't spark so much early on because I still wasn't sure that there were other people like me. I'm seeing that there are others who understand me and feel the same things and struggle like I do. I still find it tough now and then to put myself out there and "write" something down on here, but I'm getting better at it.
I think that's my best accomplishment.
These small victories make me feel good. I know there isn't a quick fix and there's a long road still, but I know that I'm working on it and making good decisions. I will get to my goal...sometime!

    Patience...that is what it takes. Patience and lots of perseverance. You didnt gain the weight over night so you have to remember that you wont lose it overnight...no matter how much we wish it to! Just keep it up, one day at a time, and remember, you have friends here that understand and are walking the same walk you are.
