Work, work, and mooooreeee work!

Saturday, April 14, 2012

I tell ya, this past week or so (10 days) has been intensely aggravating when it comes to work:

1) Easter was INSANE, had orders left and right, and kinda went on a whim with doing a rather large breakfast table up at the front where the registers are - did at least 40 packs of 6ct donuts (I know, I know, you Sparkers probably hate the idea of my job, lol), did creme cakes GALORE, and did a massive dessert cake display as well. It paid off though, sales were up about $500 EACH over LY's sales (Saturday AND Sunday).

2) Still training my new girl Dixie, still having to correct mistakes she does. It's quite aggravating when you want to have the department a certain way, but someone isn't catching on. I feel like me and my main baker, we could handle the department by ourselves at this point. But still... we could use an extra set of hands, but I need someone more experienced (or at least quicker at learning).

3) Had AP (auditor) this past Thursday, went A LOT better than my previous ones, but I still failed on my paperwork (order guide recapped and production sheets not being done). Honestly, I was going after sales, not trying to stay behind the scenes and do paperwork all day, lol. So they can kiss me arse.

I'm just feeling overwhelmed with work, it drives me crazy sometimes, but then again, I love the excitement. I am really just wanting to be able to seperate home life from work life... a lot of times I actually take my work home, as in I am thinking of what to do for the upcoming week and stuff. It's a bit of a stressor, but oh well.

So, I may be a bit bad at my food logging. I've been sticking to healthier options though. I had 2 frickin' bags of broccoli two nights ago for dinner, lol. Lastnight though, had sirloin burgers on onion rolls... and more broccoli, lol. And this morning.... had a 1/4 of a danish ring I make at work (like a 3" slice). I gotta live a little, right?

Wow! You ARE busy! I thought my job was crazy, but you've got me beat for sure! Plus, I only have to go 2 days a week, so I can't complain. I hadn't seen any posts lately, so I'm glad to know you're still working it out. Sounds like you are making some really good choices and doing GREAT! Have a good rest of your weekend!

That's a CRAZY week. Even if you're not tracking, you're still thinking about your choices, and that's enough. You're probably getting plenty of exercise in, at work, too. Sounds like you're still doing fine. As far as the sirloin burger, you gotta eat. My mentality is this. I'll never say no to something I love. I'll say "lets make this work" if it means working out more, or having half, or having it once a month, it's gotta be do able for my whole life. I'll never quit you, cheeseburger.

Hope the new girl works out soon...that's gotta be such a pain.

I still check your tumblr daily, btw, I'm just too dum to respond in any meaningful way.

Glad to see you blogging here! Hope you can find the time to check in once in awhile, I actually missed you! I get the sense that we would totally hang out if we knew each other irl.
