Well, we are off to a new week...what are your goals for the week? I have a pretty easy week planned, just my normal activities.
I have enjoyed the Spring time weather. Spring is here, and it looks and feels like it, actually more like early summer! We've had lots of thunderstorms and rain, so everything is very green, and the trees are beginning to leaf out...my flower bulbs are opening...my husband actually cut the grass this weekend so he could put some weed preventer down. I cut down the dead ornamental grasses etc. in my yard, and put out 5 cans of yard waste.
I got back to exercise last week, though not at my previous intensity...I still have a cough, but no fever...I actually ran again for the first time in a month...but I had to take breaks...it was 86 degrees though...so I don't think I did too badly!!
We've been copying family videos to DVD's this past weekend....fun to take a trip down memory lane! Gosh my kids were super cute little ones!! It was strange to see myself 20 plus years ago too....I was working out at a club, doing aerobics 5 plus days a week and lifting really heavy weights...I was probably 10 pounds lighter than I am now and my body was very muscular, but in the videos, with the clothes I was wearing...I didn't look very slim...I've noticed that these days as well...even though I'm at a healthy weight...some clothing just doesn't suit my body type.
I'm fascinated by how the right fit in clothing can make someone look 10 pounds slimmer...or the right combination of tops and bottoms. I'm a short girl, 5' 2 1/2"...but I love fashions that look great on a tall slim model!!! You'd think by 50 I'd have figured this one out...but no...I'm still learning! I love watching those makeover shows, you know, where they give someone a new hairstyle and new clothes and she looks fabulous without losing a pound or having surgery!!!
Okay, enough gabbing...time to get some exercise and then off to the grocery store to see what healthy foods they have on special this week!!
