First of all, I am really happy to be back on Daylight Saving Time. It makes a big difference to me that I can complete my bicycle commute during daylight hours. I feel safer, and it does more for my mood. The warmer weather is a big plus too.
In general, things have been going well, exercise-wise, at least if you take the long view. I had an injury in late January (not biking related) that kept me off my bike for almost a month, but I'm finally back in the saddle and feeling good.
Here is a week by week snap shot of my exercise minutes since last August. In addition to biking, I took a couple of evening yoga classes this past week. I think I'm going to try to keep doing that, because I need more strength in my core and in my hips to protect my lower back.
Things could get a little crazy over the next few months because my daughter will be graduating from high school, and we are still dealing with college decisions and college financing issues. Wish me luck!
