Who knew that i would enjoy exercise!

Well, I am adding another element to this journey . I have been exercising in my basement 5-7 days /week since the beginning of the year to help my weight loss. The weight hasn't come off as quickly but i am losing more inches.
What i have found though is that i am enjoying the exercise. I started by walking on the treadmill for 20-30 minutes 2-3 times a week and interspersing it with the Wii fit. As the time has gone on i have outgrown the Wii fit and moved on to the Wii active. In addition i added minutes and speed to the treadmill. ....and i am enjoying it which is new for me.
My new goal is to run a 5K by the end of the year. I have registered for a running class for beginners and am focusing on increasing my time and endurance on the treadmill. This morning i was able to run for 1 minute and walk for 3. I repeated the process for 32 minutes total. I am now completing a mile in 14minutes. When i started it was a solid 17 minutes.
I am excited to have the challenge of a 5K on the horizon. Yes i still want to lose the weight but the focus has shifted somewhat to getting fit and if losing weight comes with it (which i am sure it will) then all the better!
