The good, bad and the FUNNY!

Tuesday, January 24, 2012

Alright lets get it over with...

THE BAD: No word back from the woman that interviewed me friday. She was going to contact the top candidates Tuesday and schedule a 2nd interview BOOOO :(
I am really disliking my job, and the stress of driving over 100 miles daily along with long hours and the HUGE patient load is just too much. Plus add on the fact that my supervisor now has me on her negative list. Just not good. NEED to get out.

THE GOOD: Work TODAY wasnt terrible. I actually got finished about 3pm (only 8 hr day - YAY!) went to panera bread for lunch, then ran 4 miles and didnt stop when I wanted to give up (after 2 miles). Had subway for dinner (our fridge broke so we are all eating out at the moment). And although I had a moment of weakness with cookies, it wasnt anything compared to what it used to be (when I was eating the whole container a few weeks ago) and i'm sure with my calorie burn, i'm good. And now? drinking water like its goin outta style.

Now..the best part..the FUNNY (and GREAT)
So tonight, I go to subway to grab dinner and then the grocery store...i'm walking through the grocery store and this guy keeps looking at me. then, all of a sudden he goes "Excuse me, I dont mean ANY disrespect, and I hope I dont offend you BUT..you look GOOOOOOD"
THENhe looks at me again (and my butt quite a bit! lol) and goes ' REALLY GOOD" I definitely responded with "you didnt offend me AT ALL!!!!!!"

Gotta love it. And, if I'm being TOTALLY honest (which you all know I am to a fault), I am strangely proud of my butt (i think i've admitted this before). He's just another fan to add to the club! :)

It always feels great to get a compliment out of the blue. Add to it that it's from a complete stranger and it adds up to make a spectacular day.....or a marginally good one if it's been "one of those days". Hope things get better on the work front. Stressing about patient load, whether you're going to get things done in a timely, safe, and effective manner is very stressful.

Do they comp you for the driving? I sure hope they do. Even if they do, it doesn't sound worth the job. Driving all that time is stressful enough.

Sorry about not hearing back about the job. That just sucks. I hope you find something else.
Good for you on your eating yesterday. And of course, when we don't binge on a box of cookies is always an accomplishment.

Now, onto funny: that is too funny. I did laugh when I got to that last paragraph. And hey, you should be proud of your butt and welcome him into the club!! Keep on working on that butt! And, great job on the 4 miles. emoticon
