A Few Things..

Its been a pretty good weekend so far.
Friday was a BUSY day. It started with me heading to see personal trainer George. It was a great session (as usual) and we used the suspension training, which I LOVE!!! I also was doing weights, and we upped some of them in certain areas - YAY! Felt great. I had energy, and was feeling really strong.
After George, I had to go straight to a work staff mtg. That, was NOT fun. It was my day off, and they made me come in to get lectured for 2 hours. UGH. So over that place.
Then..I had a job interview!! Its for an optometrist office, and I walked in there totally confident, looked her in the eyes, talked a lot, made her laugh, and shook her hand when I left. She said shes going to call the top4 candidates on hopefully tuesday, and then they come in for a 2nd interview with the doctors..so FINGERS CROSSED!! It would mean: less driving, no more crazy insane hours, more positive work environment, ability to workout either before or after, and room for growth.
After my job interview I drove to my aunt and uncles house to go run. (they live near the beach). I got there, and I wasnt in the mood to run. So? I put my ipod on, and turned on my favorite song (Blake Shelton - Footloose..Hes my FAVORITE) well that did the trick. I hopped right out of the car, and took off. Came back 6 miles later, having breathed in the ocean air. LOVED IT. Got a call from my aunt to meet her, my cousin and my aunts sister for drinks. Off I went, had a great time with them, came back to my aunt and uncles for dinner then came home.
Yesterday, wasnt much! My knee was HURTING from the 6 miler (forgot to tape up and wear a brace YIKES!!!!) so I took the day off knowing I wanted to do another 5-6 miles today (sunday). Last night, I went to Road Runner, and got new stability shoes. Now, I've ALWAYS been a Nike gal, and liked their stability shoe, but then they had me try on a pair of Brooks..holy cow. Immediately my foot felt comfy in the shoe..before I even started walking around! I was SOLD. So, I now have Brooks Adrenaline 11, and I also bought a shoe pocket for my Nike + chip. YAY! Cant wait to go for a run in my new shoes.
Other stuff? My eating still isnt what it should be. Better? Yes. What it should be? No. Losing weight? Nope. UGGGH. I'm STILL stuck in my stupid no willpower rut. Why is it SO HARD?! And, I know the best thing is to stay on spark daily and yet..I havent blogged since Tuesday. AND, I joined biggest loser challenge and already slacked WAY off on that.
Anyway, here is to a great run at some point today (yes I WILL get that done!), and heres to being MINDFUL of what I'm eating, instead of going completely overboard and realizing 20 minutes later how much and what I inhaled.
