I received and read a blog by a SparkPeople member where he states that if a person eats only 2000 calories a day, whether that 2000 calories is Butterfingers or simply healthy food, a person will lose weight if they stay with in their calorie intake range.
Not believing this in the first place and knowing it to be wrong, I set out to prove so. On consecutive weekends I ate 2000 calories of "junk food." I maintained my exercise and stayed within my limit. On both weigh-ins I gained weight.
So starting Monday of this week I have been eating clean. I decided to check my weight this morning to check my progress and I have dropped 7 pounds. I know this will not continue, but clean eating makes a difference. I guarantee you you will waste every effort of your exercise routine by not following it up with good clean eating.
I know there are people out there with a metabolism that allows them to simply regulate weight by exercise and calorie count. I am not one of those people, and I would imagine that most of us are not. I must continue clean eating and exercise to continue my weight loss.
