Weekly Update 1/16/12

Monday, January 16, 2012

Ok from Jan. 2-8, I worked out to the Michael Jackson Experience game. From my weird work schedule I only got 3 workouts in for the week. I ended up gaining 3 pounds.
The week of Jan. 9-15, I worked out to the Golds Gym Dance Workout game. I made time to workout & I did all 7 days & I weighed myself today & I've lost 4 pounds. This week I'm doing the Just Dance 1 game. Next week I'll have an update about my progress. So I'm happy that I lost some weight & I'm still taking baby steps to get this weight off. The talk that my husband & I had was about having kids. My husband doesn't want to go to the doctor to see if there's anything else we can try so we are definately not having kids & kids was something I've always wanted & will never have. Well going to go for now.

I had the same problem at one point in my life. My doctor kept telling me I needed to lose 10% of my body weight because it was affecting my fertility. At the time, that was everything BUT what I wanted to hear and I really didn't care about losing the weight because I was more focused on wanting a baby instead. The timing was all wrong for that to happen in my life - I ended up going through a divorce shortly thereafter, dated the wrong kind of men through the next 4 years and one day I finally woke up and realized I was the one in control of what I did with my life (aside from God's plan for me) and that if I wanted things to change, I had to make the change within myself. I left the guy I had been dating for 2 years in the most unhealthy relationship of my life. I started watching what I ate and exercising. Before, I would force myself to exercise, doing boring workouts and exercises I hated, for 2-3 hours a day and saw no results. This time, I did it when I felt like I could do it and give it my full effort. I focused on MYSELF and then that's when the weight started coming off and it came off fast compared to when I was stressing myself so much over only losing a pound here or there. Not only did I end up losing 10% of my body weight - I lost 50 pounds and the doctor said my fertility is not an issue anymore.

So don't give up hope and believe in yourself. Perhaps you are going through a rough patch to test your faith in yourself. Whatever the case may be, you have the support of many SP friends who believe in you and are cheering you on every step of the way.

    Best of luck, friend.

Saw this quote this morning and then read your blog. It seemed appropriate. There is always a path for each of us.

Great job on the workouts! Wish I could say the same but I'll get there. As far as your other goals, You just never know what blessings are going to fall into your life and when. Give yourself time to mourn one dream but remain open to other opportunities God puts in front of you.
