Why I am Done with 2011

So I just ran my weight report and saw that I managed to gain 20 pounds in 2011! Hmmmm……
13 of the 20 pounds were gained from April 7 to May 28. I did not log any weight in between those 2 dates. I’m willing to bet I wasn’t even paying attention! My boyfriend and I were going through a difficult period during those 2 months and I am pretty sure that did not help. Then there is of course Easter. And a 4 day trip for a dart tournament falls in that time frame.
I also had a big gain from August to December, 8 pounds. No weight logged for most of August and all of Sept – Nov. I know that I did try to quit smoking in August, but I don’t think that attempt lasted too long. There was Thanksgiving. And camping.
But I really think there is something to be said for the fact that my biggest gains came during the times when I did not weigh in (on Spark anyway) for over 1 month. At the beginning of the year when I was weighing in once a week, I was actually losing! Same thing in June when I started weighing in regularly again! I did not lose any weight in December, but I did not gain over the holidays, which is a miracle in itself!
More reinforcement that I need to spend more time on here. More reinforcement that this site works for me! Of course my boyfriend now thinks I’m crazy because I come home from the gym and tell him we can eat in 10 minutes, I have to do this challenge first. Or when we’re on our way out for the day and I first have to go online and spin the wheel and answer trivia questions. But hey… if it’s working…
