I Should've Known

Today when I woke up after I turned my phone on I received a text message. The store manager made the schedule wrong & they want me to work tonight. I'm not going to do it cause I had to work on New Years Day (which I don't like working), & it seems like I always get taken advantage of. I bust my butt for that place & all they do is take advantage of me more. Another reason I'm not going is cause I've got housework to do. And how am I suppose to focus on myself & try my hardest to get back on track when they bother me with their problems? I know it sounds mean or even selfish to think of myself but if people knew how they take advantage of me & I get nothing in return or when a position becomes available, & then I don't get it & a new person gets it my answer is no. I've been told that saying no every now & then is ok. The manager that I would be working with is my friend but she's been treating me different. She acts odd around me anymore. Anyway I'm going to go for now. I'm going to turn my phone off & put it back on charge. Everyone have a great day.
