Lots of good things going on this week.
Today, it's raining. Bummer since I can't play in it, but we need it so badly. It's wonderful. Unfortunately I had to go out in it at lunchtime for a doctor's appointment, but I didn't melt and made it back to work in tact (other than flat hair, but...).
The doctor's appointment went well. I'm measuring right on track for being 30+ weeks along now. I gained 1 pound in the last two weeks, so the doc is pleased. The baby's heartbeat was in the 130's this week. It was in the 140's two weeks ago. Both perfectly normal.
Yesterday I got a lot of diaper stash in the mail. So pumped. The one I was most excited about is a blue-jean "looking" diaper. It is ADORABLE.
Hopefully the picture uploaded right-side-up (I can't see photos on my work computer...). If so, the diaper is in the bottom left corner. If the picture is sideways, I believe that puts the diaper in the bottom right corner. The other ones surrounding that are just some others in our stash. The bluejean one was the one I was most pumped about. I also got in our newborn diapers. I got 4 of them. They are SO tiny! DSS helped me "practice" putting all the diapers on a baby doll yesterday. He says he's going to help me change dirty diapers when the baby is born. I can only hope! (:
This weekend, on Saturday, my sisters are throwing me a baby shower. I'm not entirely looking forward to it, but I am excited. I know one of my presents already--because it was delivered to my house and I opened it not knowing what it was, oops--and it's the larger of the diaper bags that we registered for. I am SO excited. After our shower this weekend I'll start washing diapers and baby clothes. We're using that large diaper bag as the hospital bag, so I'll start making a list and packing things I need in that bag. Really, I am so VERY excited about that bag. I love (!!!) it plus it kind of makes this baby even more real. (: This is a link to the diaper bag.
www.toysrus.com/product/
index.jsp?productId=2307251 It's a little large, but I tend to be an over-packer. Plus, with a 4 year old and a newborn, I'll be carrying a lot of stuff around. I still carry a bag with DSS if we go somewhere other than like the grocery store or something because you never know when he'll be hungry or thirsty or have an accident (yes, at age 4...), or need something to occupy him, etc. Again, I'm a chronic over-packer. I can't help it.
The rain is really coming down now... I wish I was outside playing in it!
I think that's about it for now. Nothing exercise or health related, I know, but no one cares about the eating habits of a preggo lady so I won't bore you with that info! (:
