NASCAR weekend & I think I want to quit smoking

Tuesday, November 08, 2011

when I was walking my dog this morning the thought that i want to quit smoking popped into my head, for the first time in my life, nothing provoked it, it just came to me. And I think I will try to quit...
Also, I camped out at Texas Motor Speedway all weekend for the Nascar races. God it was so fun!! And I actually didn't get off track very much at all! I even went for runs and walks with the dogs. All weekend I was walking all over the race grounds. And the food we grilled was pretty decent for sticking to my healthy eating, just alot of grilled meats and veggies. However, I did ingest quite a lot of alcohol. lol. I know that can't be too healthy. I probably went through about 5 bottles of wine in 3 days. And some random shots here and there but I had so much fun. BTW, I went with my bff and roomate Cody who had introduced me to one of his friends Justin a couple weeks ago. Me and Justin have been dating ever since. I know its still soon after the Adam thing blew up but Im just over him. It still hurts but Im so done with that boy. And Justin is just so fun and nice and trats me how I wanted all these years for adam to do. Its very refreshing not to constantly worry about the man your dating. He really is a total package as far as I an see right now. So needless to say I am very content going out with him and seeing where this might go!!

I quit smoking this February and believe me, you will only quit when you are really ready to. Sounds like it might be that time for you!!!

I loved smoking even though it is a nasty habit, I loved, loved, loved it. I had half-heartedly tried to quit several times in the 13 years I smoked, but it only worked when I was really ready. I quit cold turkey and the worst cravings for me were after a big meal and when I was driving. I found that Tic Tacs helped me and I honestly don't miss it at all now. It was tough, but I feel so much better now.

Good luck!! You can do it!!
