RAVENS kicking off a great week!

I swear last night’s game was such a nail biter until the last second! EIGHT seconds left in the game and we score to win! WOO HOO! I got a workout last night from jumping up and down and running around haha!
Friday night I made some BAD decisions. The train died on the way home and BF came to pick me up. By the time we got home, I was frozen, exhausted, and starving. BAD combo for me! I ended up having a little too much to drink and ate almost half of a plate of some of the worst nachos on the planet. Whomp whomp.
Saturday, BF and I went to Wegmans. We don’t do this often because Wegmans is (A) a nut house on the weekends and (B) it is dangerous for our wallets. But I wanted to make the chilies relenos recipe from the Spark cookbook and I have had a hard time finding Poblano peppers at our local market. We did drop a lot of money but it is all for our health! Saturday night was the bachelorette party at Fogo de Chao. I stuck to my guns and just ordered the salad bar. It was hard, but in hindsight, not that hard? Plus I didn’t feel like death afterwards! No meat coma for this girl! I was surprised at how much the other guests gave me a hard time about it. Maybe they were feeling insecure? Maybe they thought I was cheap? I don’t know… but I felt attacked for my “healthy” choice and I didn’t like it.
Sunday BF and I cleaned and then decided to time our miles. We went to the local track and hit the ground running. This brought back flashbacks of me totally bombing the mile in high school. I decided not to watch the clock but just go and see what happened. I didn’t need to walk until I covered half of a mile – whatttt! Longest distance ever in my recorded memory! My overall time was 12:44. It isn’t great, I know, but in my book it is freaking awesome. I want to do this again in a few months and see if I’ve improved. I feel like getting a solid number down will really help me work harder. I now have something to measure myself by! I made the chilies relenos for dinner and it was a little too spicy for me. I also learned the hard way not to touch the seeds and then touch my face – they should put a warning in the cookbook! Haha.
Sunday was also daylight savings. I, personally, can’t stand it. I’d rather have more light at night. I’m worried about our running because we do it after work and it will now be completely dark when we go to run. I spend all of my daylight hours in a cubicle. Blah.
Tonight I have some shopping to take care of before the wedding on Friday. It is out of town so I want to make sure I have everything prepared before I leave. I want to run tomorrow and Wednesday is packing time, so shopping today it is! It is sort of like exercise… right? Tehe.
So yeah! This week is another short work week, but ends with me in my friend’s wedding! I wanted to be smaller by now but I realized it just wasn’t going to happen. Make no mistake, I am smaller than before, just not AS small as I’d envisioned? I am going to try this week to make as many good decisions as possible in the situations presented to me. I’m not going to beat myself up for a drink or a small piece of cake at the wedding. Hopefully I’ll be dancing and standing long enough to burn some calories too!
