Craving Carbs Since I began running...

Saturday, October 15, 2011

The title of my blog says it all!

I have managed to go over my calories almost every day since I began running...

I have got to get this monster tamed before I re-gain the weight I've lost!!!

I love to exercise, but I'm afraid the extra calories are catching up....

So, here I am on a Saturday night...reading motivational stories, articles and blogs...trying to keep myself from losing the battle within...

I've got a few strategies. Wish me luck!

I've heard that from runners before. Your body probably needs the energy. You've been doing great. I know you'll figure this out! emoticon

OH, so you're a carb monster now huh? I'm not a running expert or an expert on anything, lol but I know that carbs are good...whole grains anyway...and running burns a lot of energy so perhaps you need these carbs(the good ones). Did you make sure that you have an accurate exercise tracker thinggy so that Spark can calculate what you "should" be having in regards to calories/carb/fat/protein? I had my exercise set at 3 days a week BUT I actually work out 6 days a week so once I put in the real deal everything got reset and I've decided to trust it(for now, lol). If you get the chance, share your strategies so I can keep those tucked away when I run across the same challenge:)

emoticon Hang in there! I've been on the Sparkpeople Diabetic Plan (about 18 days) and carbs are limited to 125 - 156 per day. It has helped take my cravings away. emoticon Rita
