I know how that feels...I have had someone say that to me on more than one occasion.
I also know when someone already feels that area needs work having someone question you in that way only emphasizes how you feel.
Don't feel bad. My tummy was poochy even when I was tiny...and now it is out of proportion now that I let myself get way out of shape. BUT I AM WORKING ON IT!
Last month I declared WAR ON IT...I started doing P90X's tummy workout everyday. Its 300 exercises for the core.
I think I did about 3 weeks before I started faltering on my dedication to reducing the tum tum.
I hadn't realized it but I lost ONE INCH OFF that area...I found out when I finally took the time to measure!
    So...HANG IN THERE.
Some people are more prone to having a tummy...I have had 3 kids so I KNOW I no matter what size I get down to I have to accept I will have a SOMETHING THERE. ...and that's okay.
My goal is to get my waist to 30" and then UNDER. I realize THAT means HARD WORK. Nothing but time and space between getting there.
    I encourage you the same!
    KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

My good friend in Ontario had that happen alot, asking if she was pregnant and she was very frustrated with it as well. I can tell you that she worked hard too! Now she doesnt have that belly after time she lost it with her cardio mixed with strength training excercises! It will happen, dont give up hope on all your hard work, you are just making yourself stronger for it! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I totally understand. There is no such thing as working out one specific area. U need to do cardio to get the fat off andthrn do abdominals a couple times a week. It'll happen. I believe it will. Keep trucking and don't let anything stop u. Things may happen slower as we get older but it doesn't have to stay that way. Ur awesome!

Do ecercises that target your abs and watch what you eat and how much you eat. God Bless, Vic, Team leader of God's Family and co-leader of 6 other teams.

Weight comes off easier in different areas and harder in different areas for all of us. I have a hard time losing in my arms and stomach. My mom, however, loses her waist immediately.

The only thing to do is try not to get discouraged. You'll eventually start to see improvement in that area and when you do, you'll be glad you stuck with it rather than backtracking and making it worse.

    Keep at it!
