So Far, So Good...

Life is going pretty well. I've always loved my job, no doubt about it. But this year, with the new schedule changes, I was preparing myself to dislike it a bit. But so far, it's going really well. I'm kind-of afraid to tell my principals that it's going that good, in fear of even more work dropped into my lap.
I adore the kids in the high school Concert Choir. Though I wish there were more of them, (especially boys!) they are an incredibly talented group of young men and women and I'm so proud of how hard they have worked for me and for our group.
I've been trying some new teaching techniques at the elementary music level as well, and it's making me look forward to going to work even more than ever. I even get to teach my daughter's 4K music class once a week for 15 minutes. They are way too cute for their own good!
Personally, life is definitely busy, as I write this about out the door to go direct my Church choir rehearsal. I have begun rehearsals for White Christmas (I'm playing Martha) that will debut in December, I'm doing the radio play Frankenstein on Halloween, and I'm doing a murder mystery dinner theatre in early November. This on top of all the activities the kids are into makes for one lively household here!
I'm grateful for my job, my family and my health. Even though my weight is not really where I'd like it to be, I'm in a much better place mentally than I've been in in quite some time, and I'm planning to stay there!!
