Anyone Gotta' Hammer

Thursday, September 15, 2011

OK, so I am really sensitive to drugs. Besides taking 1/2 doses of most medicines, I react strongly to things like caffeine and alcohol. Lately, I've had issues with my heart racing. Between my allergy medicine, asthma inhaler (allergy induced asthma) and caffeine there are 3 things that could cause this. I just need to isolate which.

This means NOT taking one for 3 days to see if it's the culprit. I started by skipping the allergy meds (most likely) but it made me so congested & drowsy I couldn't function & coughed all night so I didn't make the 3 days.

I CAN'T skip the inhaler. While I rarely need it, if you can't breath, you can't breath. Besides if my allergies are under control and I'm sleeping well I don't need it.

Tried the caffeine, but I'm so drowsy from an allergy build up I'd been hitting it hard.

So each night I can't get to sleep because I've got 3 different flavors of "speed" racing through my veins and I can't sleep. And each morning I wake up and have to take 3 flavors of "speed" just to get through my day and breath.

I've got to stop this merry-go-round somewhere!

It's pretty stupid to keep doing this. I KNOW I've got to stop taking SOMETHING for 3 days and just SUFFER the dang consequences! But I'm just so darn tired and breathless and congested.

Somebody needs to slap me upside my head! I need to put on my big girl panties and suck it up!

I have always loved the phrase - Big Girl Panties. You are being a big girl!

I am not sure if you have talked to your Doc lately, but perhaps you should see him to determine if something can be adjusted.

I am sorry you are not feeling well, and I hope you sleep better tonight!
