All New Life

It's now 2011 and I have twin baby girls! My fears of not having a family can now be put behind me, and I can focus on many of the great things in life. To a large degree, those fears--which consumed me for 2 years--helped me to gain the weight. Now I need to really get motivated to lose the belly fat once and for all.
I'm reading Dr. Oz's collaborative book YOU: On A Diet, and learning how blood pressure works and how dangerous the omentum (belly fat) is. My hubby has high blood pressure already and it's motivated me to change our family diet. The babies have eaten very well since they started food (low to no sugar, all whole grains, heavy on the fruits and veggies) and we are taking the opportunity to make the same changes to our own diets.
Feeling pretty good, but honestly, I am scared of getting a little way toward my goals, then suffering and wanting to quit. I worry as well about succeeding, but then backsliding, due to emotional eating. The plan is to fill my life with yoga, meditation, maybe golf, and lots of play time with the girls, and then maybe I won't feel the need to fall back into the dessert-every-night trap!
