Summer is Almost Over

Today is August 18, 2011 and I haven't been on my Spark Page for 2 months. Well alot has been going on since the last time I blogged. I know I mentioned that I had food poisoning, well that was not the case. I found out I had Gall Stones and my Gall Bladder had to be removed. I had surgery last month and I'm glad its over. Apparently, my stones were a little too much for my Gall Bladder to handle, so it had taken out. My surgeons and doctors were really nice and treated me with patience. I'm not a grumpy or difficult patient. As a matter of fact, I always try to be hassle free and do things on my own when i'm at the hospital. I did need some morphine for the pain, which is what its for right!
My experience with the pain I felt was excruciating! I wouldn't want that pain on my worse enemy, but I don't think I have any enemies, well at least not that I know of. I try to be nice to everyone and keep my bad opinions to myself or just share them with my sister who knows not to peep a word; full confidentiality! So far so good:) But, glad the pain is gone and trying to eat right and live a better, healthier life. No more fatty or greasy foods, gotta watch the fats in foods and try to stick to greens, chicken, fish and liter foods. Of course, once in awhile its good to splurge, but not always. I'll treat myself to a chocolate dessert once in awhile but not often.
This summer, I've mostly been to Doctors Appointment, in and out of the hospital since June and finally in August I"m well rested and trying to go anywhere for a little break. As school is quickly approaching, I gotta find somewhere to go and soon. I"m thinking of Las Vegas for a quick get away with family, but I'll have to check the funds because without it, it won't be that much fun lol..

To my friend Madaasded- miss seein ya at work and hope you're still doing your personal weight loss challenge and hope you've reached your goal. Oh yea forgot to mention since I've been eating healthier I have lost15 pounds so HOORAY for me, lets try to keep that off!
OK lets keep the SPARK alive and motivate each other to lose, lose and lose some more.
Oh yea and Ill be joining my work weight loss challenge in September, so I'm excited about that to start. We usually work out together after work and always check in and text each other what we've eaten for the day and what activities we plan to do for the day. Its good to be reminded of the Do's and Don'ts of Eating.
