I lost four pounds last week!

I am so excited that my hard work is paying off! I have really pushed myself to exercise this last week, completing two very strenuous hikes as well as hopping on my elliptical trainer each day that I wasn't hiking. I kept within my calorie range for the most part, going over by a couple hundred calories after a 6 hour hike.
I am trying to change my attitude. If I want to eat something that is higher in fat or calories, I consider my activity level and then I have it, track it, and enjoy every bite!
I am not going to deprive myself of an occasional treat, within reason. I am not indulging myself because of my feelings, stress, or boredom. I am not eating mindlessly. I am mindful of serving sizes and slowing down to enjoy my meals.
I am starting to feel like my former self; more energy, more drive, more self confidence. I will focus on these feelings as I progress. When things are not feeling as easy or when the scale isn't budging, I will try to focus on the way I feel and hopefully I will find the strength to continue!
