Back to work today. I haven't been on Spark People since I was laid off. My whole daily routine fell out when I didn't have a job.

I was depressed and gained 10 pounds in the first week of layoff and then in the second week I kicked the sadness and started exercising more and stopped eating donuts. emoticon

I lost 14 pounds in 7 days. It was amazing. I rebounded and gained another 3 pounds this last week, but am back to 270 - which is happy.

I'm honestly not sure that I'm going to continue with Spark People every day. I've been doing well tracking my food intake and exercise on my own, and my Wii Fit keeps me honest about my weight. I do enjoy the support here, so I may check in periodically - but the every day isn't so hard now that I have established better habits and smaller portions.

I'm easing back into my work life - my heart-healthy oatmeal for lunch and passing up the "Welcome Back!" donuts at the front door are a sign of that. My stress level has significantly decreased since the Governor signed the budget bill, and all us state workers got to come back to work. The long talk with my boyfriend last night eased a whole lot of the stress that was going on with our relationship, and things right now are pretty chill.

I may be wrong - I might need to come back to Spark-People full time now that I'm back at my desk job. But at this moment in time, as I ease back into the swing of things - I don't think I'm going to be as dependent as I was when I started.
