New batteries needed?

Friday, June 17, 2011

Hmmm.....I think I will need to get new batteries for my scale. It says I lost 3 lbs last week, and this week....I didn't think I did very well. First time on scale this a.m. it said I lost 5 lbs. I knew that was not likely, so kept weighing myself and getting different results. So, at the highest weight, it says I lost another 3 lbs this week. Someone should notify my clothes of this! Sooooo...I do not think my scale is accurate. Will buy new batteries and start all over. But, I hope some weight loss is still accurate!

Well, I think my scale is broken. I put in new batteries and it still is not consistent. Tried to see if the "feet" needed adjustment, as mentioned, but they are not adjustable. Even though it has been inaccurate (scared to find out that I gained even more weight over the past year!) at least I am back to tracking intake and weight. Need to buy a new tape measure, too. Mine is missing. So, thanks everyone and I will be sure to post the REAL numbers as soon as I get a new scale.

Grab a hefty handweight (8 or 10 lbs) if you have one, and weigh it. That's how I check mine when I have a weigh in results that are higher (or a gain...eeek) than I expected. Once I discovered our hall bathroom floor isn't exactly level and it was throwing off my scale. I thought that was weird since it's a digital scale. I just moved it to the master bathroom and it's just about spot on there. one of those things I guess.... :)

who knows ? if it were the batteries why didn't it show more , or show totally different things? if you did measurements you would have known if it's true or not. sometimes you can loose from places that don't show on the clothes. I have two scales , a mechanic and an electronic one , they never seem to have the same opinion emoticon sometimes one says I lost and the other says I gained
