Kangaroos have always been my favorite animal, so looking for blog inspiration this week I turned to pictures of my old favorite, since so much of what I've discovered this week can be brought back to the marsupial of my dreams.
It was a slower week than I had planned for week 4, my trainer was not loud enough to out-yell my trainee, largely due to overdoing it in the garden/ yard last week & needing time for my back to recuperate. Nevertheless, I was good with food & did add 2 new st exercises to my circuit, although I didn't do the circuit as often as I wanted. I did my measuring today and am thrilled and surprised to report 4.5 inches are missing since basic training begain. Didn't gain anything last week, but expected to, so I'm still down 3.3 lbs since starting, which gives me hope.
So that's 1- I'm feeling sleeker, like the Kangaroo.
Had another fabulous weekend with my DD, for 2 movies (Pirates & Bridesmaids) and a show (Jerusalem, with Mark Rylance & Mackenzie Crook). Lots of great conversation & the realization, my Woo is safely and strongly in the world now. All the things you have to worry about them as a Mom, you gradually can stop worrying as they gain their own footing & hop around by themselves.
So that's 2 - I know my girl is strong & sane & will prevail through anything. She is her own original independent self. She's also caught the exercise bug! She has safely left the pouch. One more to go.
I sit on the ball today, giving me the bounce I need to resume the crazy exercise program I crave. I bounce from the ball to grab the measuring time I need. I later bounce from the ball to steal anouther break for my st circuits. I really love my st circuits!
So that's 3 - as with the kangaroo, the impetus comes from the bottom up.
Goal for this long weekend coming up: a top-to bottom, much neglected, house cleaning, with music and dancing & goofiness.
