What I've Gotten from the BLC:
About two years ago a sparkfriend invited me to be on a team called the BLC. I didn't want to join a new spark group but she really needed people on her team so I thought I'd do her a favor. Little did I know she was doing me a favor.
The BLC is a private team that runs for 12 weeks, then you take a short break and start another challenge for 12 weeks. The theme for this team is the same as for The Biggest Loser, whichever team and whichever member loses the most weight each week gets their name in lights. I've been a member and either a captain or co-captain every cycle ever since I got my first taste of this wonderful team. I have made wonderful friends who I never would have met otherwise. I have learned how important it is to keep moving, to keep eating right, to keep drinking my water and to get back on track every time I fall.
During this time in my life, things are getting busy. I have no time for the computer on the weekends and I cannot give up exercise and sleep during the work week for the computer. Therefore I have made a difficult decision to not join this next round. I will miss the interactions with the people and will miss the crazy challenges and fun games but I have to think of what is happening in my life and where my life is going.
I hope that the friends I have made will still be there either on facebook or on other spark groups or even through our spark pages and blogs. For those special ones that we've talked about meeting in person, I truly hope we still get to do that. I don't want to lose the friendships I've built but I do have to face the facts that there are only so many hours in each day and I have to prioritize what time I do have outside of work.
This is a very difficult decision for me and I hope that no one takes it personally because it has nothing to do with the BLC or the people. It just has to do with time constraints. I can't say what the future holds. I may be back for the next round or the round after that. Just know that whatever the future holds, all the BLC members will be in my heart and in my prayers and I will never forget you and will always appreciate the opportunity you have given to me. I am proud to say that I am a TEAL TROOPER and TEAL TROOPERS ROCK!
