31 Days - March 24: Eat Your Fiber!!

Today, Spark tells us to fill up on fiber: fruits, veggies, whole grains and beans are great sources of fiber, which helps to keep you fuller for a longer period of time.

Well, how can anyone disagree with this wonderful advice? And, how can you argue with the yummy food that is fiber-full?? Of course, fruits and veggies are a staple for most of us, but even things like whole grain bread is great for you, and, to my taste buds, so much more flavorful than old white bread products..

And when you "marry" fiber rich foods with protein, you are creating an uber-snack that will really, honestly to God fill you up!! And from where I sit, there is nothing like a snack that you know you have eaten once you've eaten it!! I mean, really, how many times have you had a snack and said, I'm still hungry! But a sliced apple with some peanut butter spread on it? Will keep you satisfied until your next meal. Same with some baby carrots dipped in hummus. Honest, I promise!!
