I kind of touched upon this yesterday, in terms of knowing what you are putting in your mouth before you actually do. How many times I have felt that "buyer's remorse" when, after going to a restuarant and having a meal I thought I chose well, going home and looking it up only to find awful nutritional news.. So look for these words, but better, check out the menu options online BEFORE going to the restaurant, or ask the server at the restaurant if that information is available before ordering and ingesting!!
I'm not sure that I always appreciate the information that is available to us at the click of a mouse today. Honestly, is there nothing we can't find out if we want to? By becoming informed about restaurant meal choices, that is really using the information age to our best advantage, and if we are interested in making it happen, can make our journey so much healthier and easier.
Of course, there is the occasional time we are out that we don't care what the nutritional values are..and that's okay too. But I always believe that it's better to know what we are eating BEFORE we eat it, because I think even if we are in a "splurging" kind of mood, we might want to choose our splurge wisely!!
