31 Days - March 11: Eat on Time!

Today, Spark tells us:
Chew on schedule. Too much time between meals can drop your energy levels, decrease your metabolism and result in overeating. Space your meals evenly throughout the day and eat a healthy snack between each meal.
This is a great piece of advice. It is so important to make sure that you don't get too hungry during the day. Not only does your energy level drop, but your judgment just goes to crap when you are really, genuinely hungry. How many times have you reached for something really unhealthy to eat out of pure hunger? It happens to me whenever I allow myself to get that hungry..which is why I try to NOT let myself get that hungry..
Which brings up a curious point. You would think that when you are going through the process of trying to eat well and lose weight, that hunger would somewhat become your companion, and you would get used to it. But I think the WORST thing for our progress on this journey is to allow ourselves to get hungry to the point of a dropped energy level, slowed metabolism, and bad judgment. So do space out your meals in a way that works for your body and make sure to have those good snacks in between, it really, really is the difference between success and failure, in my opinion.
