Start of my 5 Week Challenge

Sunday, February 20, 2011

Today will be the 'official' start of my personal 5 week challenge.

The biggest goal of the challenge is to be UNDER 140 by the end of this! I CAN do it, if I FOCUS (yes, yesterdays topic lol).

I really do NOT want to add on another WI day for myself (I WI wednesday mornings at home, and friday mornings at WW), so I will use my WW weigh ins for this challenge. Then the final day, I will weigh in on my scale. Maybe. I'm still trying to figure it out. I could switch my wed weigh ins to sundays, I DONT KNOW! Any suggestions? I also think I'm going to go buy a new scale today at Target.

My other goals for the next 5 weeks:
Exercise at LEAST 3x/week
Track all food
Stay in WW points (29 per day)
Do not use extra points (we get 49 weekly 'allowance points' plus points we earn for activity)
Take vitamins daily
Avoid stepping on the scale EXCEPT on 'TRUTH DAY'

As I said, I just have to stay focused. It SHOULDNT be THIS hard to stay on track for 5 weeks, but lately, I've lasted about a week before I'm falling again. So, its going to be rough for me, and I know that. I've decided to make those horrible bikini photos my computer background (AHHHH) and I also have a picture in my car to look at when I want to stop for junk. My size 4 jeans are out in plain sight so I can SEE my 'goal' and I also want to find a dress to wear.

Heres to being slim and OUTTA the 140's in 5 weeks!!!!!!!

I don't think any two scales are exactly alike, so you may want to weigh yourself twice on the same day - once at WW and once on your scale. Either that, or do it at least once and make note of the difference.

I know focus is the hard part (BELIEVE ME I know!). We went grocery shopping yesterday and my husband bought mostly red meat emoticon . I agree the pictures will help. I used to keep one on the fridge!!

Let's both shoot for our goal so we can give each other a big hug when we see each other and it will mean so much more than just missing each other!

Yeah, I was going to suggest the same thing, if today starts the challenge and you were going to buy the new scale, today would make sense to do the weigh in. AND I think as an added reason, weekends tend to be so difficult for the majority of us, having Sunday morning as your weigh in will help you perhaps stay more focused on the weekend, you know what I mean? Going out on Saturday night you will be saying to yourself, I get on that scale tomorrow, whereas during the week you are on your feet working and being busy, so that will keep you less likely from wandering off track.

I think this is a good challenge for you. Not too long a time, like months away, and you have a plan.

PS. I am going to sit down and think about your abs request, I think we can make it fun, fit your needs, and be challenged.

Great challenge. Those five weeks will fly by. Thing is ... just be careful you don't deprive yourself for the next five weeks and then go crazy after the five weeks is over. Once you get out of the 140's, you'll want to maintain and continue working towards your next goal. Good luck!

As for the weighing ... if Sunday is your personal challenge day, why don't you buy the new scale today and start weighing on it on Sunday's and then weigh on Friday's at WW. Do they have a WW class you could go to on Sunday morning? If so, then you'd only be weighing once a week.
