Pain is not fun!

Friday, February 04, 2011

So how the heck do I figure out what is causing the chronic pain?

I hate to whine about the issue, but I'm just not used to living with pain. Maybe no one really is?

Sure rheumatoid arthritis is probably causing most of the pain - but is it causing all of it?

Here's the laundry list of the current pains:
Neck,
upper right chest near the arm,
pain down the right arm,
mid back mostly on the left side,
bottom part of rib cage on the right side,
left wrist,
base of left thumb,
groin on right side and
the area behind my right knee.

So far, my hair doesn't hurt! emoticon

It's bad enough being miserable during the day, but it's just as bad at night getting lousy sleep.

Tylenol is the only pain reliever my rheumatologist told me to take, and it doesn't appear to help at all.

On the brighter side, although I'm hurting in more spots, at least the pain is not as acute as it was before. emoticon

Is there a book entitled "Idiots guide to pain"? If so, I'll buy it! PAIN IS NOT FUN!
