Let it snow, let it snow!!

January has been one of the snowiest months in my somewhat long memory. Maybe it's because I now have to wait and wonder who will dig me out, when, and for how$$ much? In my younger, healthier past, I just grabbed my shovel and worked it out as I went forward. But it's all okay aside from a few cancelled plans, missing two Wednesday weigh-ins, and a lot of solitude. I'm actually liking it, and the schedule I make is according to my needs, appetite, and energy levels on any given day.
So there are good things to be had in any situation. Not being out and about, I have my meals according to my hunger, not according to where I'll be at any given time, which can lead to snack type meals, missed meals, or just plain snacking. It's a lot more satisfying sitting down to a healthy cup of soup and a filling sandwich, than munching on a granola bar and a box of raisins in the car on my way to "somewhere" on a day broken up by obligations.
So the sun is shing brightly today and the snow is dripping off the roof and forming puddles on my wheelchair ramp. Seems as though it's just waiting for the sun to set so it can form a downhill ice skating ramp. What fun that would be for neighboorhood kids if any of them even ventured out in this weather! Come to think of it, I havent't seen a SNOWMAN anywhere in my travels since the big snows hit us last December. " Where have all the snowmen gone?Long time passing. where have all the snowmen gone, long time ago?"
Sing to the tune of "Where Have all the flowers Gone?"
Just reminiscing today, and hoping to emerge into springtime a few pounds thinner, a lot healthier, and happy to see the white turn to green.
