The cookie monster strikes again !

Friday, January 14, 2011

So where does it come from????That sudden craving for cookies that you made ahead for an occasion but froze because the meeting was cancelled ? They never bothered you because they weren't really yours to eat, but were being saved for the future occasion? So suddenly out of nowhere this desire for the little frozen "angel puffs" hits you like a tidal wave and you succumb to it? The 2 dozen puffs were the only salvedgable cookies from an entire box of semi-homemade items that burned and had to be tossed out. So there they sat for more than a week w/o so much as a thought. And then there were none.
This is not the first cookie blog I've written, but I hope it will be the last. Message to me: YOU CANNOT HAVE COOKIES IN YOUR HOUSE. THEY ARE A DANGEROUS SUBSTANCE AND THERE'S NO PLACE TO HIDE FROM THEM...... DANGER, RED LIGHT FOOD.
I needed to put this in print today to make it a reality and face the cookie monster head on!

The Cookie Monster has appeared at my house too. I usually try to get my husband - who is tall & skinny - to eat them. Any that were left from xmas did get put out for the garbage though. I try not to eat too many and put what I do eat on the food tracker. emoticon

A cookie or two is fine as long as you work it into your tracker. However - I too have to keep things like that out of my house because stopping at just one or two is difficult. emoticon

He shows up at my house sometimes, too! I just take the extra cookies next door to my neighbor with pre-teens. They love it and I don't have to eat it or throw it out.

LOTS of foods should come with WARNING LIGHTS a blazin.... or something that will snuff them out and prevent them from CALLING you from the other room....

Good for you for recognizing the MONSTERS that they are. May you be able to keep them out of your house from now on!!!

I have been there and done that. My last one was peanut chocolate clusters I made with my grandgirls in the name of doing something fun with them.

WRONG.......I ate at least 1/2 of them!!!!!!! I feel for you. Just get back on the wagon...don't give up!
