My plank story.

I came so close with holding the plank this time. I started the first one - I was feeling strong - I knew I could do it this time - I get to 20 seconds and I'm still doing okay - and then seconds later, over 30 additional pounds suddenly jumps on my back. I tried to hold on, but it just couldn't happen. Down I went. Hard to believe, a year ago that much weight plus some would have been on my body.

    Congrats, that's great! I can hold plank sometimes...but boy, do my core muscles shake while I do it! LOL! And after the first one, the length I can hold them for gets shorter and shorter.

    I love your thinking about that extra weight that jumped on you and how it used to be there all the time. It reminds me of on the Biggest Loser, where towards the end of the season they have to do a challenge with weights on them to make them weigh what they did at the start of the season. I guess it sure would make you appreciate how far you'd come! :)

    Good way to think of it Cynedra! The added weight of those children you used to carry each and every day! Yeah for working on the planks. I still need to do mine today. I'm getting closer to 45 seconds.

    I can never imagine that I used to carry so much weight around (and more) all the time when I pick up my son. Thank goodness that is off of me. Now I just need to keep working on getting some more weight off. I might have to try that plank sometime. Strike that. Now I remember I did try it a couple times during a yoga workout. Those are super hard. I need to try again and see if I can last longer.
