31 Days to Healthier Holidays - December 31
Friday, December 31, 2010
Well, I kind of had the feeling that at some point my daily blogging would be overcome by the busy-ness of Christmas, so I can't say I'm totally surprised by the fact that my last entry was two weeks ago. And I will admit that since probably the day before Christmas Eve, I have been eating a lot of stuff that I know isn't good for me in quantities that I should not..but in making that admissioin, I am also able to confirm without a shred of a doubt that when the sh!t is in your house, you eat it. My home has been the host of more food, cookies and candy than I care to even discuss at this point, and my bad food choices with those items is directly connected to the time frame in which they began appearing in the house..
So, in my "trying to make lemonade out of lemons" way, I am once again committing to keep the crap out of the house..because that truly is the only way to ensure that I won't eat it. Listen, I'm not beating myself up about this, I actually did better than I usually do in this last month, but I am using my experience to "learn something" from the experience.. I've always preached, to myself and to anyone that would listen to my preaching, that it is worse to not learn anything from your mistakes than it is to make mistakes.. So I have learned!!
Spark has a new calendar out for January: 31 Days to Unbreakable Resolutions. I'm considering trying to keep up the daily blog using that as my springboard. I do believe that for the 15 or 16 days I blogged in December, it kept the "goal" at the forefront for me and helped me to stay on track, so it is likely that I will decide to do it again..
I wish for all us Sparkers a happy, healthy, goal-accomplishing 2011..
