Blogging before checking in with my teams
Friday, November 26, 2010
So when I signed in my original plan was to check in with my various teams. I changed my mind though and decided to blog first. Once I start reading most of a months worth of posts on different pages, I will never make it to blogging AGAIN. So I decided to do this first.
In good news that can from bad news, when I was getting ready for Uncle Don's funeral, I had no idea what I was going to wear. I had a couple of suits that my sister gave me that were a size that started with a 1 instead of a 2. I have a size 20 dress that I have been using to see if I going down in size, but that dress still feels to small around the hips. However, the suits size 18 and 18w were fine. Since then, I bought a pair of 18W jeans (for 9.99)
After over a month without much walking or running because of foot problems caused by warn out shoes, I finally got new shoes last Friday. (I had to wait until I got paid for working the election to get them). I haven't really had much of a chance to do too much in them between holiday (we did walk yesterday and bike ride today) and sick children. I'd like to say that I will get back to walking/running right away, and I will try, but I will have an extra child this week, who has to be driven to school (over an hour away) and picked up every day so I am not willing to make the commitment to myself. I'm also hoping we can start painting the house tomorrow.
S spent Halloween throwing up. L spent last weekend doing it. We have also had rounds of vaccinations, colds, hives from something. I'm sure I'm forgetting something else, but life has been interesting. We are all fine other than the lingering colds.
I keep thinking I should make some kind of profound post on what I have learned in my 45 years here on earth (Happy Birthday to me!), but the only thing I can think of is that you must be willing to really join in the game of life, not just watch it or manage it like a chess game, to really enjoy it.
My other problem with blogging, posting, is that L has decided that he wants to use this computer. I love him and I love that he is interested in learning how to use the computer and from the computer, but it can get annoying. Plus it is all he wants to do. It was all I could do to get him to go biking today.
Have a great weekend all.
