I haven't blogged for awhile because, to be honest, I haven't been doing all that well lately. I haven't been getting as much exercise as I was and I have been eating out in restaurants way too much.
Now that colder weather is here I will be cooking and eating at home more and getting more indoor exercise. I need to get to the gym from time to time too. I sure hate paying for something that I am not even using. I am getting back to my Leslie Sansone WATP dvds thanks to Spark friend HYJEAN. We have made a little pact that we will do at least 15 minutes each day. .
I had my 6 month blood work done this morning. Iron may be low again because I have been feeling kind of worn down lately. I am hoping the glucose reading is better this time. The reading in May was a real disappointment. My main motivation for the healthy lifestyle changes was to ward off the diabetes that runs in my family. Both the doc and I think that I will eventually get it but I am hoping that I can postpone it for as long as possible.
Now, the good news is that I have lost another 13 pounds in the past 6 months for a total of 41 pounds in the past year. The exercise, calorie counting and portion control really does pay off in the end.
Oh, and while I was waiting for the doc to get in to see me I jogged in place and ended up with 2,500 steps. Better than sitting on my flabby butt.
ETA Blood results back. Sugar was down 7 points but still not into normal range. Iron is low again, as I suspected.
