I really wanted to share this with everyone. I think these are very wise words indeed-and definitely supports the Sparkpeople philosophy, which is why I love this site so much! My pet hate are crash diets that do not focus on health but just offer quick (and temporary) fixes. So, I thought this was worth sharing with all of you.

    You mean like the twinkie diet and the Morning banana diet and the eat no eat no fat, and the eat no protein, and the eat nothing, and the ......etc. You are so right! The best way is the real diet, eat the nutritional items that you need every day and occasionally have treats and so on! I agree with ya! emoticon

    Hiya, Dot! That is a great essay 'Ben' wrote - and I agree, it really does go hand-in-hand with the SP philosophy. It's so easy to get caught up in the losing-weight thing while neglecting the benefits of becoming healthier. Thanx for posting the link! emoticon
