Thanks to today's challenge in the "1 Day Challenge Team" at SparkPeople, I was reminded that it's been a while since I've blogged. I've been spending time getting back on track and preparing for a few new tasks, all of which I'm happy to share with you.
- SCHOOL -
I'm in the last steps of completing my graduation requirements. It's been out of my hands since the end of August, which makes for a bit of anxiety. My husband and I have been waiting for our capstone projects to be formatted, reviewed, approved and submitted for publishing. The last step is to change the project grade from IP (In Progress) to P (Pass), and that should happen any day now!
- WORK -
Still at it and have been told that I've been extended until April, 2011. While I am eager to put my new degree to work, a planned transition is probably a better way to go. I'm still spending some time in my thoughts, trying to figure out "What's Next," so the time will be put to good use.
- PLAY -
I have a few fun 'irons in the fire,' so to say. First, I've been enjoying the Fall Team Challenge at Concept2.com with the Indoor Rowing Team here at SparkPeople. The rowing challenges are a neat way to push ourselves a bit harder and it works! I've crossed my first major milestone - 1 Million Meters! - and am rowing more now than before. The Indoor Rowing Team has been instrumental in motivating me, and I cannot thank them enough!
Next weekend my husband and I are getting away for a much-needed getaway to Bayfield, Wisconsin.
(This is where I 'borrowed' the title for my blog.)
We're looking forward to relaxing and exploring a new place. The weather forecast is very promising and just getting away will be a nice change for oth of us.
What's next? The Skeleton Crew Challenge at Concept2, National Novel Writing Month www.nanowrimo.org/
(which i missed last year due to school), and a new hat that my husband asked me to knit him for the upcoming parade season y2knit.net/index.php?mai
I hope that everyone is finding a good balance between what's required and what's fun. It's been fun to see and read about everyone's recent goals and activities. I'm glad that I took the time to return the favor!
