Vacation Worries...

So tomorrow morning at 5 am, I am leaving my house and heading to Seattle!!!! I am SUPER excited... but a bit worried because this is my first time not at home or at my parents house since starting Spark People.

My worries is that I will only be eating at restaurants, and that my boyfriend has already told me that he is not going to be sticking to his diet... which means he plans on ordering deserts.. my weakness!!!!!

So here is my plan:
1. I will still log into Sparkpeople every day!
2. I will substitute side dishes like fries for salads and veggies
3. At least Seattle offers A LOT of walking, but I will do my strength training in the hotel room!
4. I am counting on my Spark Friends to remind me that I kick ass!!!!
5. I WILL allow myself to have bits of sweets, but try not to overdo it!
6. I will ENJOY my vacation and plan on kicking some serious cardio butt when I return.

I'll take any more advice!!!! And Wish Me Luck!!!!

    So this is day two of you vacation and you are doing great right?? You're not completely depriving yourself, right?

    When I went to Vegas I remember how much I missed fresh stuff, produce and veggies!

    Have fun, and don't stress about it too much, you will do great and stick as closely to your plan as possible. Remember, you control what you do, nobody else can! Just tell yourself, just because my boyfriend doesn't want to stick to his program doesn't mean you have to cave in as well. I love that you have a plan before heading on vacation. That's great! Let me know how you do!!

    Okay so heres a way to have your cake and eat it to: Split it with the boyfriend! That way you're both watching out for each other and you get to enjoy the things your vacation has to offer.

    Side Salads are great ways to go instead of Fries. Don't forget your fruits. Save money and Calories and pick up Cereal and fruit for breakfast in the hotel. Some hotels have mini fridges you can leave some milk in. Or have Oatmeal and make the hot water through the coffee pot.

    Don't worry about clearing off your plate in the restaurants. And DRINK YOUR WATER!!!

    You'll Do fine! Just take a few steps at a time :-D

    That sounds like a good plan! I hope you enjoy your vacation. Going on vacation was worrisome to me too, but I made a plan before I went. I didn't stick to it perfectly, but I was really proud of myself for not overindulging on everything. I allowed myself some special treats, but in moderation. I think the most important thing is to get right back to your routine when you return.
