Week 18: Detailed exercise log

Monday, August 09, 2010

This week my goal is 400+ minutes and 20 or more miles...and I am striving to do an aerobic workout 2x/day, at least 4 days this week. I also plan on trying out a Zumba class this week! I am also going to be starting my next phase of P90X this week.

This is the first week back from 5 weeks of pretty much falling off the wagon BIG TIME. I'm jumping back on and holding on for dear life...hope I can hold on tight enough...my emotional state is not quite where it should be, or where I want it to be, but I just can't keep waiting, so I am going to try and force myself to get back on! I'm trying to stay positive and believe that this is going to work, but in the past, if I'm not feeling ready, I am just not able to be successful. But, with being bipolar, if I wait, that could mean months, and I can't afford to wait that long, so I am going to make my best effort and take this one day at a time!

Sometimes falling off bumps our head and helps us refocus :)

Alicia, good plan; great commitment! But, please remember working toward a "lifestyle" change will get you there. It doesn't have to be "all or nothing". I kept adding things in until it wasn't possible to do it all, set myself up to fail because I tend to be an all or nothing person. That's why I'm on SP to manage the "fitness" part of maintenance. Now, I shoot for 120 minutes a day with each day different depending on what works with my schedule. When my daughter was here the fitness plan went out the window although we were "busy" for 9 days my time was not my own. I balanced that by keeping my calorie intake lower. Clothes still fit well. It's all good. Back on track with my minutes, easing back into the workouts. Have to leave room for life in your plan. Be well, Joy
