Mother's Day 2010
Sunday, May 09, 2010
Well it's Mother's Day and I have a great deal to be thankful for. My son is home from school safe and sound. What a joy to see him. We have a tradition of playing golf on this great day, but I canceled the reservation on Friday with the weather forecast. Boy was he unhappy with my decision. I just don't see any use in being unhappy outside playing a sport that I'm not that good at for 5 hours, in winds that are sustained at 20mph, and the temperature less than 50. I told him next week. He really just likes giving me the business. We did attend our local church services this morning together. It was a beautiful mass. A young boy sang Ava Maria, and it brought tears to your eyes. During the sign of piece I received the best gift of the day, A big hug with a kiss on the cheek and the words that me so much to every mom out there. I love you MOM.
What a great day!
A special prayer for all the mothers who are no longer with us, especially mine. She made me who I am and I thank her every day for that. To all of you reading this who are mothers or fill in for some one as a mother may your day be filled with gladness. Thanks for the great jobs you do every day.
Happy Mothers Day!
