New Job

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

I am starting my new job tomorrow. Finally - this past month and a half has been very stressful. Uncertainty is so hard! I have kept up my exercise for the most part, and 70% of my diet has been good, but I have been straying a bit. I have gained about 5 lbs. I am ready to drop that and keep going in the right direction.

It isn't rocket science but I need to keep reminding myself:

Whole nutritious super foods - lots of fruits & veggies, whole grains, lean meats, fish and dairy. Easy peasy.

Exercise - run 3 times per week, lift 2 times per week, 2 misc cardio (step, spin, hockey etc)

Stacy, you will do great on your new job. Just hang in there and give it your best. That is all you can do, is your best.

Don't stay away from weigh in even if you think you have a gain. Face the fact and go on with the next day. emoticon
Prayers are with you and your job. emoticon

I hope that your first day is amazing. I am praying for you and know that you will do great today.

You will get everything sorted out and a routine in place. That is when the lifestyle changes are easiest.

Woo hoo! Congratulations! Don't worry so much about the small gain, even though it's a better opportunity, changing jobs is stressful. Good stress and bad stress both can cause us to gain at times! It will come right back off.

Congratulations on the new job. Jobs are so hard to come by right now. I know as I have been looking for a job since getting my bachelors degree in May 2008 and not having much luck. Hopefully now the stress will be relieved and you can begin to lose weight again as stress can cause weight gain.

    Take care.
