End of Feb results!

Sunday, February 28, 2010

Overall, February was a success for me. There are a few niggly bits that I wasn't consistent on and I
will carry those over into my goals for March. Must continue to build on what I've learned. So, at the end of January I pledged to:

Get 7-8 hours sleep each night.
Be active on the boards each day.
Track my food 3x each week to make sure I'm getting enough of what I need.
I'd also like to lose another 6-8 pounds.

I lost 8 pounds. Yay! There were only a few days that I did not get enough sleep, but that was down to a sick baby and entirely out of my control. I was active on the boards nearly every day. I only missed a couple of days all month. Where I struggled was tracking my food. I tracked at least 3 days a week for the first 3 weeks but did not track at all last week. No excuses. I MUST do better this month. This is so key for me reaching my goals.

So, for March, I will carry forward my February goals. And in terms of fitness, I am going to incorporate more variety. Also, I would like to introduce meditation to reduce my stress levels. Also, for March, I am going to follow the Eat Right for Your Blood Type diet. I originally wanted to eat only a Vegan diet for March as I have recently read an amazing article about the lifestyle and that many vegans are healthier, have less disease and have more energy than the rest of us. It was the energy bit that interests me. Sadly, living in England, it is hard to find egg substitute and the vegan cheeses I have tried have tasted like chalk. I'm worried that it will be too restictive for me. Another friend suggested the Eat Right 'diet'-I hate the word diet. While it is also restrictive to a point, I am curious to see if my energy levels will increase. I eat a healthy, varied diet, get regular exercise and am absolutely shattered most days. So much so that it is really starting to concern me. I have been making sure that I am eating enough as well as enough of what I need. I don't drink, have very little caffeine and drink loads of water through out the day so can't understand why I'm always so tired.

Anyone else with a similar story? Suggestions?

Happy Sparking everyone!
