Swimming

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

Well at the last minute I found out I could go swimming. I have to wait till there is nothing else going on here at home for me to use the car and go to the gym. So I did 120 min in the pool, it is so weird when you do a work out in the pool. You do not sweat, you do not feel it a lot in your muscles so it can be deceiving. I worry I am not working out right at times. I have this insecurity of not trusting what I am doing. Especially when they are getting easier to do.

Just a thought I was having about workouts of mine. I will just trust this site and keep on doing what I am doing.

Want to thank you all who keep coming back and giving me advice it is so much appreciated. The support here is so wonderful and really astonishing to me it is something I have never received anywhere before. So this site needs to know and be commended for what it is creating here at Spark, it is very unique and priceless in my opinion. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I go to water aerobics 4 days a week and I love it! One hour of class and another hour on my own. Just about any exercise you can do out of the water is so much easier in the water. I like doing jumping jacks, they really get the heart rate going. You really don't feel like you are exercising, especially if you enjoy being in the water, but I have lost several inches since I started in December. Enjoy what you are doing. As long as you are moving, you are exercising!

The first time i went to a water aerobics class I wasn't sure if I was doing it right either because you're right - you don't sweat. However, when I got out, my legs felt like jelly LOL. :) Keep up the fantastic work!

I have always love swimming and can't wait till I get to swim again...But plz rember to ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SUNBLOCK...

When I was a kid I had a three day weekend of nothing but water fun in the sun...I didn't put my sunblcok on and my face and body swelled up triple its size and I had huge blisters all over...

The doctor said I got a third degree burn from the sun...I wasn't allowed outside for about a month and a half...And now am alergic to the sun...more then most people...I have to wear spf 50 or I will get burnt...and usally have to reaplie about every hour to two hours...The more I sweat the faster the sunblock wears off and the more I can feel the sun burning me...It's not fun..

So plz keep on swimming and WEAR YOUR SUNBLOCK...make sure to find one that is water prof.

When I worry that I'm not working out properly or at the right time I ask myself this question: "Is any exercise better than NO exercise?" That answer is easy. YES and I let those worries go. Keep up the good work.

Hi. I love swimming but mainly do it in the summertime. I swim laps in our big community pool and you are right when you swim it is so easy on the body and joints that it does not feel like you are exercising but believe me you are! yes, you don't sweat because you are surrounded by water but....................really you burn a great deal of energy when you swim laps and you cannot beat the feeling. I take my daughters with me and sometimes we swim all day with the occasional healthy snack and reading breaks and of course sunscreen breaks too. Enjoy the swimming it is aerobic and really good for you. It is always good to mix up your exercise routine to keep your body guessing. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
