One of my inspirations...

When my son was small, he went to an in-home daycare run by a phenomenal woman. She was great with the kids, at all ages, and somehow always managed to encourage and challenge each of them, even though they were all at different stages of development. But to top it off, she had been very heavy and had all sorts of related health problems in the past, but by the time we met her, she had made a conscious choice to solve those problems by running and eating healthier. When we knew her, she was thin as a rail, and ate really healthy foods (and so did my son, consequently!).
Her dedication was amazing--she was always waiting for us, even if we were the latest ones, and would tell us in length about our little guy's day, and then she would head off for her nightly run. Her dedication to her health was one of the things that led me to Sparkpeople--to see if I could find a structure that would help me become dedicated to my health in a smart way that was compatible with my lifestyle.
