My Valentine's Anniversary

Sunday, February 14, 2010

Well the big day has come and almost gone and it was very special. We started the day by attending our Life Group Bible Study and then we attended Church Services which were conducted by our College Students. It is very re-assuring to know that we have a core of youth who will carry the Church into the future! With all the crime and violence and ungodly things we see every day in the newspapers and on T.V. watching these young men and women today and hearing their testimonies and a wonderful sermon, I felt renewed and blessed to know that God is working through them! There is still hope for our world!

After service we attended a Senior Valentine Luncheon sponsored by our Church and the room was full. I was surprised to see the numerous couples there who have been married over 60 years! Norm and I have only made it to seven and 60 is totally out of question at this point! I was a little envious....

This evening we went to a really nice restaurant here in St. Augustine called Cap's Place. It is on the Intercoastal Waterway and God blessed us with the most colorful sunset. We enjoyed a wonderful seafood dinner and then we capped it off watching the Winter Olympics. It was a very good day!

I want to thank all of my spark family for your well-wishes and goodies; it really means a lot to me and I thank God that I have such wonderful friends.
