First, I got on the scale this morning and I was in the 170's. Haven't seen that number since high school. I was excited. So, I can now say I have lost 161 pounds with Spark People.

Second, I think I am doing the half marathon at Surf City. I am running with, my spark friend, LILHLFPINT's bib (A.K.A., Mary). I was excited about that today. Mary has been sick, and I hope she gets better soon. I have never been in a half marathon, so I will probably do more walking than running, but it still will be cool.

As for that new position that I recently applied to, I am still waiting. I was told that there is testing next week, and I should receive a letter soon about the testing.

Lastly, my sister is having a gallery showing next weekend. I am very excited for her because it's her first show. She has had a piece or two on display before, but never a whole showing. She paints, and is very artistic. She asked me if I would mind if she painted a picture based on me (no, I didn't model for it). She has been very sweet, telling me that I inspire her. I guess she already has some nice offers for this painting, and they aren't from our parents. It's kind of a cool painting, so I thought I'd share it.

    Wow on the 170's! Congrat!!!

And, holy smokes - that painting is awesome. When they say "a picture is worth a 1000 words" - this painting really tells at least as much. You can see the story and feel the emotion. I love it. I wish I could go to Charity's show, I know it will be amazing.

And, yay about the new position!!!

Holy smokes that picture is wayyyyy cool.. it makes me emotional to look at it.. what a kind and insightful gift from your sister...

CONGRATULATIONS on the 170s.. how amazing that must be!! wowsy! And the 1/2 marathon! How far away is it?? Are you training for it?? I want to hear alllll about it! I can't do the pounding (not even that type of walkin) at my weight but I start "building my base" next week for my century ride in the HotterNHell in August. The 20 week official training starts April 10th so by then I have to have my.. uh.. "saddle" broken in to comfortably ride 30+ miles a week.

You are doing so great sister!! That job?? It's yours... I just know it!

    Battle On!

"she already has some nice offers for this painting, and they aren't from our parents"
Hahahah! Isn't that just the way these things are? I cracked up when I read that.

It is a really cool painting. If you were my sister, I'd be inspired by you, too! In fact, even though you're not my sister, I'm inspired by you, anyway! LOL So There.

Jeannie congratulations on being in the 170's. You are one amazing young woman. I love your page wallpaper, it's so cute.
So is it for sure you will be doing the 1/2 marathon? I will keep my fingers crossed that you get that new position. Sounds like things are going well for you and your sister.
