This Time Around

I really do feel like this time around my experience on sparkpeople is different. Instead of gorging on Oreos, I went for fruit. I'm eating better lunches. While I am still eating fast food, it's only in the way that I'm not holding it off and making myself crave it and then eat it multiple meals in a row. I'm not letting the fast food drag me down either. When I eat it, I eat it, and then I move on with life and have fruit for breakfast and snacks.

I'm not relying so much on bad foods when I'm having a stressful day, while I haven't let go of food as comfort yet, I at least want fruit instead, which is a HUGE step. I'm really hoping this way of life sticks around.

    that is a huge step and good for you for noticing. its so easy in times of turmoil to just get so down on ourselves.

    Itsn't amazing how just one day things really start to change around on what we know we should eat/or do. Its awesome that you are making the changes and being aware of what you are doing. Good luck, keep going! I've noticed in myself that I'm starting to really make the changes that need to be done.

    YAY! It sounds like you are definitely making a lifestyle change, not just going on a "diet". Way to go!
    I still eat some fast food as well...probably once a week on average. I enjoy it, so I am not going to totally cut it out of my life. I just try to have the "healthier" things when I do eat out.
